Application Information
Instructions for use

Mixing

For manual mixing,, add to the mixing container 8-9 litres of water for each 50 Kg bag of Masonry Mortar. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes, until a uniform, lumpfree consistency is achieved.

Leave the mixed material to stand for 10 min and briefly remix without addition of water.

Manual mixing is allowed for small batch quantities and mix for approx. 1-2 min or when homogenous mix is achieved.

Smooth Surface Application

Add 1-2 litres of Vetonit Vetobond AB432 to the mixing water and adjust the water requirement accordingly for each 50 kg bag. Follow same mixing procedure as described above.

Mixed material must be used within 90 min. Do not add water to the mix once the mixed mortar start to harden.

Application

Saturate the block surface with water before applying mortar. Any excess water should be removed.

The masonry mortar is spread with trowel on the surface and joints where the blocks are to be mounted.

Fill joint in similar way as conventional sand/cement mortar.

After stiffening, the masonry mortar should be given a final smoothing to remove protrusions and eliminates undulations.

Cleaning

All tools should be cleaned immediately after finishing by water. Hardened materials can be cleaned mechanically.

Surface Preparation

The substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitance, dirt curing compound, etc.
