Premixed 4 to 15 mm thick polymer modified cementitious self leveling underlayment.
Vetotop CL531 is a single component polymer modified cementitious floor self leveling underlayment composed of hydraulic binders, selected aggregates and special additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on site, once mixed it will form a cohesive self smoothening honey-like flowing mortar that is applied in thicknesses between 4 and 15 mm giving a super flat finish ready to receive final floor coverings including tiles, carpets, resinous flooring systems, parquet, ...etc.
Factory controlled pre-blend ensures consistent high quality.
Suitable for Middle East harsh weather conditions.
Easy application enabling high productivity & superior finishing.
Rapid commissioning and serviceability.
High bond to substrate.
Excellent physical and mechanical properties.
Fiber reinforced resisting crack formation.
Vetotop CL531 is supplied in 25kg bags with Yield: 1.5 - 1.8 Kg/m²/mm
Original sealed bag of Vetotop CL531 has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry and shaded place below 35ºC.
For single bag mixing add to the mixing container 5.0-5.75 liters of water for each 25 Kg bag of Vetotop CL531. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3 - 4 minutes, until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved.
Try to minimize the water addition to get higher strength. Manual mixing is allowed for small batch quantities and mix for approx. 1-2 min or when homogeneous mix is achieved.
Vetotop CL531 can be applied using screw type pump with pumping rate of 25-50 liters/min and length of hose 40-50 LM. and control the water dosage to achieve the required flow.
After placing onto the primed surface, apply by trowel or pin screed. Rake to the Vetotop CL531 spreads and adjust itself to a level floor.
For small areas Vetotop CL531 can be applied manually.
It is advised to spike roll in two directions immediately after application to release entrapped air.
Self curing, 1 - 3 days by sealing off the area. Floor becomes ready for commissioning or topping after 3-5 days.
The surface should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitence, dirt curing compound, etc.
Larger areas can be divided with wooden battens to control the pumping volume and determine the layer thickness to be applied.
Prime the surface with Vetoprime PB433 diluted with potable water (ratio of 1:1.5). Mix thoroughly and spray or brush onto the floor without pooling. Its important to note that if the primer dried it will become a debonding layer - thus make sure to apply the material within the primer open time. Allow the primer coat to be tacky when applying Vetotop CL531. Alternatively where large areas are to be applied, prime the floor with Vetobond EB431 which will allow for long open time.
Do not mix with any additives or products, unless recommended by Saveto.
Make sure the substrate is suitable for underlayment application. In case of doubt, try on sample area to assess its suitability.
Vetotop CL531 is not an abrasion resistant nor recommended to forklift or heavy loads.
Do not apply the product at temperature less than +5ºC. During summer season the working area must be covered to prevent ill-effects from direct sun and also air-draft during initial curing stage.
Tools should be cleaned with water before the mortar hardens. After the hardening its residuals can be removed mechanically only.
