Bonding agent & admixture for render & plaster
Plastering Bond is a single component Styrene Butadiene Rubber based, bonding agent for cementitious materials. It is a water based, specially formulated to enhance bonding properties as well as improve mechanical strengths of plaster mixes when incorporated with mixing water. Plastering Bond also reduces shrinkage cracks during early stages of cement hardening by minimizing surface water loss in fresh applied mixes. Plastering Bond is ideal for use with Render and Plaster mixes. Plastering Bond is supplied as ready to use on site without any dilution for desired applications.
Vetonit Plastering Bond is supplied in 20 Liter Containers, Coverage: 4 - 6 m²/Ltr as bonding agent
Original sealed container of Vetonit Plastering Bond has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry shaded place below 25ºC.
Plastering Bond is non-flammable.
Plastering Bond has tendency of soft settlement on storage and therefore it is recommended to mix the material in same container prior to use.
Follow the Plastering Bond addition rates as specified by consultant or contractors required for each type of premixed mortar.
Plastering Bond can be used as total or partial replacement of gauging water required for plaster & render mixes.
Add the Plastering Bond to pre-blended sand/cement based plaster, render, mortar, or other dry mixes. Mix for 3-4 min using mechanical mixer at low speed.
Let the mixture stand for 10 min and mix again briefly to achieve homogeneous lump free mixture.
As Bonding Agent
Use neat Plastering Bond without dilution. Apply Plastering Bond using brush or spray directly onto substrate. If using hand pump, spray at a rate of 4-6 m2/litre.
While bonding agent is wet to tacky, follow immediately by applying plaster, render, mortars etc.
Note: Vetonit Plastering Bond should remain tacky when applying top coat finishes.
Surface must be well cleaned and free from loose materials. Inconsistent parts, varnishes, grease, laitance, algae, must be eliminated through sand blasting or brushing before applying Plastering Bond.
Use the whole material once you opened the pack, as the material start to skin & then dry. Any part material left in container must be kept air tight.
Do not mix with any additives or products unless recommended by saveto.
Tools should be cleaned with water before it hardens. After the hardening its residuals can be removed mechanically only.
