A premixed Cementitious scratch/Key coat for AAC surfaces
Spatter Dash LB a cement based coat composed of hydraulic binders, selected aggregates, and high performance additives. It is supplied as a dry powder in pre-weighed bags ready to use on site, which requires only addition of clean water to produce easily workable mortar. Spatter Dash LB is a high quality product for multipurpose applications such as scratch coat on highly absorbing surfaces and ceilings such as AAC, thermalite & calcium silicate.

Original sealed container of Spatter Dash LB has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry shaded place below 25ºC.
Mixing
Add to the mixing container 11 - 13 liters of water for each 50 Kg bag of Spatter Dash LB. Add the powder to the water and mix with a mechanical plaster mixer or low speed electric drill fitted with a suitable paddle for 3-4 minutes, until a uniform, lump-free consistency is achieved.
Manual mixing is allowed for small batch quantities and mix for approx. 1-2 min or when homogeneous mix is achieved.
Application
Spatter Dash LB preferably be applied in a single coat application to achieved desired rough thickness of 4-6 mm.
Apply mixed material using mechanical spray or manual spatter machine or hawk & trowel technique.
Cover 95-100% of surface area to be plastered.
Allow the installed application to remain undisturbed for at least 48 hours.
Curing
Spatter Dash LB is best cured by spraying water on the surfaces of applied materials every 12 hrs for minimum of 3 days. During hot & dry conditions allow curing for minimum of 5 days. It will help to obtain high mechanical strengths and minimize the risk of surface cracks.
Substrate should be sound, clean, free from loose material, grease, laitence, dirt curing compound, or any other substance that might impair the quality of bond with the substrate. Prior to Spatter Dash LB SDL211 Application, damp the entire surfaces with clean potable water. The substrate should be neutralized surface at the time of Spatter Dash LB application.
Make sure the substrate is suitable for the application of Spatter Dash LB, in case of doubt, try on sample area to assess its suitability. Do not apply the product under direct rain, extreme wind, and at temperatures below +5ºC or above +45ºC.
Spatter Dash LB is highly alkaline therefore avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. Any skin contact should be washed with soap and water. In case of eyes irritation, immediately wash with copious amount of clean cold water. Seek medical advice.
Spatter Dash LB is non-flammable.
